Amy Lutz

Amy S.F. Lutz is a writer and advocate based in Pennsylvania and the author of "Each Day I Like It Better: Autism, ECT, and the Treatment of Our Most Impaired Children." She is co-founder of the EASI (Ending Aggression and Self-Injury in the Developmentally Disabled) Foundation. She earned her PhD in the History and Sociology of Science from the University of Pennsylvania in 2022. She is the mother of five children, one of whom has severe autism, and her advocacy centers on access to effective treatments for individuals with the most significant support needs.
