Arthur Westover, MD, is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where he directs the Adult Autism Services program. His clinical and research focus encompasses the psychiatric and behavioral dimensions of autism in adults, a population that receives disproportionately little attention in both research funding and clinical infrastructure. Dr. Westover brings to the NCSA board rigorous scientific grounding and firsthand experience navigating the near-total absence of adult autism services — particularly for individuals with significant support needs who age out of school-based systems into a service landscape that was not built to receive them.
