Severe Autism-related ECT Providers, State-by-State
We are pleased to provide a list of providers of ECT (electroconvulsive therapy) who serve patients with severe autism/self-injury/catatonia. ECT, the induction of a seizure under anesthesia, is a last-resort treatment sometimes used when other interventions have failed to alleviate extreme and dangerous symptoms. Please note that laws regarding ECT vary by state, particularly with regard to patients who are minors, and our list is in part crowd-sourced and not vetted by NCSA. Inclusion does not imply endorsement, and omission does not imply any sort of disapproval.
