Lee Wachtel, MD, is the Medical Director of the Neurobehavioral Unit at Kennedy Krieger Institute and a Professor of Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He specializes in the treatment of severe self-injurious and aggressive behaviors in individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism. His work focuses on pharmacological and behavioral approaches to the most treatment-resistant presentations in the severely affected population.
